Hickman Ranch hosts the 4-H Spirit Riders group which meets the third Thursday of each month.  They are a horse project organization focused on care, training and competition of horses in all disciplines around speed, cattle and performance.

Spirit Riders is part of the Brazoria County 4-H which is the largest 4-H program in Texas.  The members do not need to live in Brazoria County to belong to the organization.  There are four point shows during the year with the opportunity to compete at the district and state level.    Members can live in any county.   The events include all speed events, Western and English performance events as well as team penning and roping.
